How long is the Njatc test? ›

If you meet the basic requirements, you will be scheduled to take the NJATC aptitude test battery — if required. The test battery consists of two tests. It will take approximately two and a half hours to complete, with short breaks in-between.

Once you have successfully passed the Aptitude Test, you will be invited to interview before the Joint Apprenticeship Committee. This is a joint committee, consisting of IBEW Local 294 and Twin Ports Arrowhead Chapter of NECA. The Joint Apprenticeship Committee is responsible for overseeing the apprenticeship program.

How many questions are on NJATC math test? ›

The Electrical Aptitude Test (known as the IBEW/NJATC Aptitude test), is used to assess candidates for electrician and technician licenses. This Electrician Aptitude Test contains 33 questions in the math and mechanical sections and 36 in the verbal section.

Are IBEW aptitude tests hard? IBEW aptitude tests are considered tough challenges for many candidates, especially the math section. Unlike aptitude tests from other hiring companies, math tests at IBEW comprise algebra and functions, which require a solid foundation in math.
